- I did a Theory of Knowledge presentation on the topic of “Generalization” in various situations/fields.
- with (axokxi)
- Instead of asking “what do we know,” we focused on “how do we know.”
- Research question: What role does the inductive process of generalization play in knowledge production?
- Although I’m skipping the process, the conclusion we reached is that:
- Generalized knowledge has two roles.
- The roles of generalized knowledge are limited by two factors:
- Historical or subjective language can lead to subjective interpretations when applying generalized knowledge.
- In fields that use quantitative approaches, generalized knowledge is expressed through mathematics, eliminating subjective interpretations.
- The presence of universality or invariance is crucial. Also known as uniformity, without it, the role of deductive application becomes difficult.
- We made some compromises to finish within the deadline, but I believe it is a valid analysis.
