Title: University of Tokyo Recommendation Application

Myself: University of Tokyo recommendation application

/todai-suisen has useful materials.

  • People who passed within the observation range:

    1. Applying to other national public universities
    • For school recommendation-based selection at national public universities (including cases where the university entrance examination is required and cases where it is not), you can only apply to one university and faculty. Additionally, those who apply for school recommendation-based selection at this university cannot apply for comprehensive selection at other national public universities (former AO entrance examination).
    • In preparation for not being accepted for school recommendation-based selection, you can apply separately for general selection at other national public universities and faculties (※). In other words, you can apply to a total of two universities and faculties: one from universities and faculties that conduct exams in the “early term” and one from universities and faculties that conduct exams in the “later term”. However, this university does not conduct exams in the “later term”.
  • ※ Please refer to the website of the National Public University Association (http://www.kodaikyo.org/) for public universities and faculties that conduct independent entrance examinations on their own schedule.

  • About faculties:

    • The Faculty of Engineering has significantly more openings.

  • Regarding the Center/Common Test:

    • “Note that the university entrance center examination is intended to determine whether the student has the basic academic ability to smoothly pursue their studies after admission, and a score of approximately 80% or higher is a guideline.”
    • There are people who passed with a score of just over 600 points (about 70%).
    • Is it not an absolute requirement?
  • Guidelines (2019)?
