There are two types of time: psychological time and physical time. Psychological time depends on physical time, but in situations where physical time cannot be perceived, psychological time is evaluated based on the continuous changes in the environment and emotions. In other words, it is possible to manipulate psychological time by manipulating environmental information. Taking advantage of this, a conceptual “time machine” was created using an HMD to create a discrepancy between psychological time and physical time, giving the illusion that the experiencer has traveled through time.
