• before: First Attempt at TOEFL

  • 5/15 Sat

  • I only had three days to prepare, oh no

  • I hope studying for the SAT a week ago Taking the SAT for the Second Time will help me, but I wonder how effective it actually is

    • The patterns seem quite different
      • Maybe I need to make an effort to abandon my thorough evidence-based thinking
  • In the end

    • Reading 27, Listening 30, Speaking X, Writing X
    • R/L sections, dropped by one point.. haha
    • Speaking/Writing doesn’t seem better than last time either
      • Well, I just have to wait for the results while hoping for a score in the upper range of random fluctuations
  • I should be able to improve in Speaking and Writing a bit more

  • Results

    • I didn’t feel much progress, so I’m happy that I improved
    • Reading and Listening are probably within the margin of error
    • Speaking +2, didn’t improve much after all
      • If I practice properly with PDCA, maybe I can improve a bit more
      • I could only do practice to the extent that I could remember the format this time
    • Writing +5
      • It improved quite a bit, maybe because I was conscious of what I wrote in TOEFL Writing
