Compressed Packing Cube

• There is a theory that using packing cubes is better than compression bags (the ones you remove air from) (blu3mo).
  • When looking at backpackers’ luggage on the internet, it seems that most people use packing cubes instead of compression bags within the scope of my research.
    • For example, My 40-liter Backpack Travel Guide (Vitalik).
• Advantages of packing cubes:
  • Durability:
    • Compression bags tend to lose their sealing ability over time.
  • Ease of closing:
    • It can be a hassle to remove air from compression bags every time you close them.
      • I personally feel this (blu3mo).
• Issues:
  • Packing cubes may not compress as small as compression bags…?
    • That being said, they still compress much smaller than not using anything.
    • This seems to be a trade-off between how much compression you want to achieve.
      • Unless you are traveling with a maximum capacity of 22L worldwide or something, packing cubes seem to be more comfortable (blu3mo).
