• Things I think are not demystified:

  • Ultimately, there is information that can only be obtained by interacting with seniors or experienced individuals.
    • Basi is amazing because it allows this interaction for free.
      • However, it would be even better if information could be obtained without the need for interaction.
    • I wonder why this is not currently possible.
      • I think it’s because even though information is available in the vast sea of the internet, it is often difficult to come across information that is specifically tailored to one’s current needs.
      • Without the exchange with experienced mentors who can push information, it is often difficult to come across the information one was potentially seeking.

• Ignoring the difficulty of implementation and feasibility, I think that the creation of Scrapbox for overseas university entrance exam students and mentors would further demystify the process.

  • Similar to /villagepump or /mitoujr2021.
  • Communication and information gathering can happen simultaneously (I think this is quite important).
  • Additionally, one can come across related information in a domino effect.
  • Also, if it’s just text communication, a mentor could handle more than 15 people, right? (Although I can’t say this for sure)
  • The feeling of isolation could also be alleviated if there were diary pages like /villagepump.
  • As for the push of potentially sought-after information, I think it could be partially achieved through Scrapbox links.
    • By making information easier to explore, it would be easier to surf for information, increasing the chances of stumbling upon the desired information.
    • Maybe not, I’m not sure about this.

• basi’s Scrapbox aimed for the above.

  • However, it seemed very difficult to achieve, and there was a personal issue with 60df064779e1130000281572, so I gave up.
  • If the goal is to maximize the benefits for all students aiming for overseas universities, I think it’s a pretty good idea.
