If you keep complaining that you haven’t been officially approved or that it might be a waste of time, interesting work won’t come your way. You should consider each line of code you create as your own blood and flesh and enjoy the process of writing code. #メルマガのネタ @snakajima May 7, 2021

just do it. Even in research, some people say, “Just climb Mt. Takao and come back,” but there are also people who don’t go to the mountain endlessly saying, “I consulted whether Mt. Takao is okay,” or “Is there a better way…“. But the view from the mountaintop is very pleasant. No matter how much you think at the foot of the mountain, you won’t know that feeling of pleasure. https://t.co/fWac1exOzK @rkmt May 8, 2021

The minimum requirement for becoming a creator who generates value on your own is being able to create and test a large number of things without being told by anyone. @ssuge May 8, 2021

/villagepump/科学者とあたま “In other words, You have to be smart and not smart at the same time.”

Are you saying something difficult? (yosider) Does accepting stupidity = accepting being down-to-earth? (sta) You have to be even more of a difficult-to-understand and stubborn country bumpkin, not just a simpleton. People who don’t understand things are considered stupid. But isn’t one of the aspects of being “stupid” someone who understands things but still can’t comprehend them? The criteria for “understanding” may be different. Even if it seems clearly hopeless, I think it means to actually experiment. (masui) I’ve heard similar stories elsewhere. I think it applies not only to scientists but to everyone. It’s important to do everything thoroughly. Anyway, as someone who is “smart in terms of efficiency,” it seems likely that they would avoid researching things where the return is not clear. It seems related to being unable to move without a sense of satisfaction. (yosider) Maybe it means that you should focus less on thinking and just try it for now. (yosider) Even if the immediate efficiency improves, you won’t know what’s ultimately good. That being said, it seems reasonable to attack from areas where efficiency seems good within your understanding, but… If you approach it with a mindset like “Let’s just try it and see what happens, haha, something broke,” while drinking alcohol, there might be some harvest.
