• “In principle, agricultural experiments are conducted once a year.” “Even if a person’s lifetime allows for multiple experiments, it is at most a few dozen.” “Before the spread of writing, oral tradition and personal experience were the only sources of information.” Considering these facts, it is understandable why the elderly were revered as the community’s source of wisdom.

    • Is the wisdom of the elderly still valuable for matters that are difficult to increase the number of experiments and difficult to generalize?
      • It is difficult to share on a one-to-many basis when generalization is difficult.
        • Maybe it’s not always the case.
