  • We aim to achieve the realization of timeline Mixed Reality (MR) that combines real scenes at multiple points on the time axis. In this study, we aim to realize a remote experiential system using panoramic fixed camera images as one form of timeline MR. In this paper, we describe the distribution method of fixed images and the design of a prototype system using tablet devices and HMDs. After implementing the system, we conducted a series of operational tests on-site. As a result, we confirmed that remote timeline MR experiences are possible.

  • Consideration of video material presentation methods in timeline MR systems

  • We aim to achieve the realization of timeline Mixed Reality (MR) that combines real scenes at multiple points on the time axis. In the prototype system developed in previous research, the experience mainly consisted of still images and 3D models. Therefore, in this study, we consider video material presentation methods in timeline MR systems with the aim of achieving a more immersive experience. We classified timeline MR experiences based on the camera’s position and orientation during video material shooting and the position of the experiencer, and implemented image presentation alignment processing in several patterns for verification.
