• Rejected
    • I didn’t have any expectations because I understood that the probability was low.
      • However, it’s still sad that the path was closed off.
    • Well, I want to think of rejection as meaning that I didn’t fit in.
      • Actually, I feel like I’m looking for an environment where there are people from various majors rather than just an engineering environment like MIT.

  • I changed the image to one of MIT because a thumbnail of a video was showing up.

    • Portfolio
      • What is this?
      • Maker:
        • For your Maker Portfolio, you may submit images, video totaling no more than 120 seconds, and up to one PDF of technical documentation and/or specifications via SlideRoom. You may document one project or many, and your work may have been done inside, or outside, of school, and alone or with a team; just make sure you explain it to us!

          • Maybe this one.
        • There’s quite a bit of space for explanations.
        • Also, file upload.
        • Mentioning Kineto should be enough in the Portfolio and recommendation letters.
          • As for “未踏” (Undiscovered Talent), it can be mentioned in Honors.
        • MIT Makers Portfolio
      • Research
        • Please answer a brief questionnaire about your research and provide a letter of recommendation from your research mentor. Researchers may include a PDF of their abstract or research poster, if available. If the work being submitted has been published, a citation can be provided.

          • I did submit it to the IPSJ research contest, but it doesn’t seem to be the type of submission that says “It’s research!”
          • Also, I’m submitting recommendation letters in any case.
          • So this one doesn’t seem necessary.
    • Scores
      • Official score reports for SAT, ACT, and English proficiency exams are not required unless a student is admitted and chooses to enroll.

        • Good.
      • ★★Don’t forget to enter the IB scores, which will arrive before the deadline with IB Result!
      • Is the IB Score Transcript necessary?
        • I don’t know.
  • Inside the Admission Office

    • It’s important to make the essay understandable even for amateurs.
    • MIT Original Application Form
      • It’s not one long form, but rather five short ones.
    • Types that MIT is looking for
      • There are no fixed types, they want diversity.
      • However, it’s important to be passionate.
      • Enjoy hard work and academic rigor.
      • Take risks, be experimental.
      • Have an interest in humanities subjects as well.
      • That being said, at the core is a STEM focus (they mentioned quantitative analysis).
      • Again, (blu3mo) feels like a great fit for MIT College Fit.
