There is a belief that in the world, regardless of various reasons, the expected happiness value obtained when income exceeds a certain value does not change much.

In that case, the higher the ability (in terms of earning money), the smarter one is, the lower the expected value of taking a risk.

It is not wise to play Russian roulette where happiness increases from 100 to 110 if you survive.

In reality, when you look around, capable people choose a route where they can:

“Enjoy what they are doing”

“Contribute to society”

“Have a certain level of high income”

In other words, to achieve extraordinary success, both studying and recklessness are necessary. These are fundamentally contradictory, so it naturally becomes a rare species.

Most of the outstanding researchers I know seem to be satisfied with “enjoying what they are doing,” “contributing to society,” and “having a certain level of high income”…

In my case, I think if I do things steadily without taking big risks, I can achieve the above.
