• Browser

  • Until recently, I frequently switched between Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Vivaldi, and others.

  • In the past few years, I have settled with Chrome.

  • However, lately, I have been considering switching from Chrome to Firefox in October 2021.

    • There is a group feature in Chrome mobile that I don’t quite understand and find inconvenient.
      • It opens in a new group instead of a new tab (takker).
        • I only see it as a slight inconvenience of needing one extra tap.
        • I don’t really mind it.
      • Firefox for Android automatically adds headings to tabs.
    • On the PC version, it creates a Chrome account or something for each Google account, which is annoying.
    • I’m slightly concerned about Chrome’s monopoly.
      • I understand (takker).
    • I just want a change of pace.
  • Update: I switched.

    • However, I have encountered some minor issues, and now I’m starting to wonder if Chrome is actually fine.
      • I switched without any deep reasons.
    • I had the impression that it was a customizable browser, but it doesn’t seem to be that way.
      • I thought I could at least change default key bindings.
  • Update 2: I went back to Chrome.

    • Overall, I don’t have any major complaints, but there are a few small points that cause stress.
    • Since I wasn’t really having any problems with Chrome in the first place, I went back.
