  • I’ve been thinking about Virtual Time and it made me wonder what exactly is a timeline.

    • Both Chronos Time, the playback bar of a video, and history books have timelines that run in parallel.
    • I think the reason why the discussion above is not well understood by (axokxi) is because it’s not clear what things have a timeline.
  • Miscellaneous things that have a timeline

    • Music
    • Language, writing
    • History books
    • Playback bar of a video
    • Time in the narrative world of a video
    • Flashback scenes
    • Chronos Time
      • If we consider Kairos (subjective time) as the absolute timeline, then Chronos is just one timeline that is no different from other timelines.
      • In Physics, it has a specialness of being able to be mathematically related to other variables, but outside of physics, it’s just one timeline.
  • I remember reading in a book about Theory of time that time can be interpreted as a axis-like space.

    • I should read it again 21031x

Interesting cases to consider

  • Movie trailers

    • Before watching the main movie: Only the timeline of the playback bar is perceived.
    • After watching the main movie: In addition to the timeline of the playback bar, the timeline of the movie itself and even the timeline of the story world can be perceived.
  • I want to make finding an answer to this my goal for a while.

  • Once this is clear, I want to write a note on time.
