• Planning to pass in the morning of 6/9.

Strategy:

  • Not really feeling like doing a checkpoint-conquering trip in Shodoshima, Naoshima, Toshima.

  • Want to travel more leisurely.

    • Will go with a relaxed schedule where there might be some free time.
    • If truly bored, can spend time doing tasks or reading.
    • It’s okay not to force oneself to have a good time.
  • Want to talk to people there.

    • Feeling a bit boosted in terms of enthusiasm now, so want to maintain that.
  • Summary:

    • Leave Kannonji Station around noon on 6/9 -> Stay in Takamatsu.
    • Leave Takamatsu in the morning on 6/10 -> Spend a day in Toshima -> Head to Osaka at night.
    • Around noon on 6/11 head towards Kyoto to complete tasks -> Return to Tokyo by Shinkansen at a suitable time.
  • Notes:

    • 6/9
      • Where to stay
        • Naoshima and Toshima don’t seem like good places to stay.
      • Is Takamatsu okay? (blu3mo)
      • Want to go to NaTaSho.
    • 6/10
      • Visit the Toshima Museum of Art. Make a reservation.
      • Then explore the island. Is it okay to have no specific plan?
      • Leave the island at night and head to Kyoto?
        • It’s fine to stay in Kobe or Osaka as well.
        • Stay at a traditional Japanese inn at night.
      • Toshima -> Osaka
        • Around here.
    • 6/11 Kyoto
      • Osaka to Kyoto takes about an hour.
        • Leave in the morning and arrive by early afternoon.
      • Visit the grandfather at the nursing home.
        • Super Court Kyoto Shijo Omiya.
        • Anytime in the afternoon is fine.
      • Take measurements of grandmother’s room.
        • Contact SOMPO Arashiyama for timing.
        • Should be done by 5 pm.
      • Meet the uncle who drew the family tree of My Family Lineage.
        • This has been canceled, so skip it.
      • Anything else to do in Kyoto? (blu3mo)
        • Can go to Keibunsha or Mourin-an, but not particularly motivated.
        • Any new places? Nothing special on the bucket list.
        • Just work normally and return to Tokyo.
    • 6/12 Want to be back in Tokyo by night.
      • Have an experiment and a rakugo performance by edanoshin.

  • Kyoto

    • Missions:
      • Visit grandfather at nursing home.
      • Take measurements of grandmother’s room.
      • Meet the uncle who drew the family tree of My Family Lineage.
  • Kurashiki

    • There’s a high school student there.
  • Seto Inland Sea

    • Toshima Museum of Art
      • Closed on 6/11.
    • Toshima + Naoshima?
      • Toshima alone seems enjoyable.
      • Rather than a hectic checkpoint-conquering trip, a leisurely stroll on one island seems more fulfilling.
    • Naoshima also looks good.
    • Wonder if there are places to stay.
  • If the stay is extended, all plans will be disrupted, so keep that in mind.
