In the discussion of bodily modification, there was a distinction made between physical bodily modification (such as plastic surgery, corsets, etc.) and informational bodily modification (such as Metalimbs).
I found the expression of physical vs informational quite interesting. It seems to be similar to the concept of analog/physical vs digital, but it appears that the terms physics/information are more essential in many cases than analog/continuous and digital/discrete.
