  • Up until now, I hadn’t properly researched it, and I thought, “I don’t think it will be helpful since I’m already doing things like writing down tasks” (blu3mo).
  • Points that I found interesting when I finally researched it on 20230423:
    • Writing down not only tasks, but also vague thoughts and things you want to do.
      • It makes sense to gather all the seeds of next actions that arise from breaking them down.
        • By gathering them all, you can eliminate any unconscious seeds of next actions and feel refreshed.
      • This seems to work well with Scrapbox.
    • Putting tasks into the system without considering their long-term/short-term relationship.
      • I felt that I had a problem with not being able to make long-term plans and spending too much time on immediate tasks (blu3mo).
        • Rather than “making long-term plans,” it makes sense to “put long-term desires/goals into the inbox” and then break them down into next actions.
    • It has a mechanism that forces you to break down all tasks, desires, and goals into small actions.
      • I understand that it’s important to break tasks into smaller pieces, but I haven’t been thorough about it.
      • It seems to have a very good effect to be thorough about it for everything.
      • First, Write Down Everything in Your Head and Then Break It Down
        • Thanks to the framework, you can recognize the blank space of “not having broken down this task.”
      • In the end, all tasks need to be broken down into smaller pieces at some point, so the computational load on your brain is the same whether you do it just before taking action or in advance.
        • If that’s the case, it’s better to do it early because there are benefits to doing it early.
      • Once a week, take your time to break down your projects.

      • Prepare yourself to the point where you can confidently spend the next week without hesitation.

      • Then, you can sprint through the next week. Isn’t that comfortable?

    • Thorough environmental responsibility
      • This seems to be a prerequisite.

Breaking Down GTD

  • Very easy-to-understand writing.

  • It feels like it anticipates things like becoming a demon and explains them in advance. It’s a really good piece of writing.
