What are legal propositions?

  • Legal propositions: the media of words and the formal formation through it.
    • Four types: contractual clauses, rules by legal scholars, norms established by judges, and laws.
    • According to the theory of Legal System Theory, they correspond to “programs”.
    • All four patterns are based on words, and that’s the point.
    • These propositions are considered “second order” because they observe social norms and translate them into words.
