Bugs in Japan's political system

(Note: I’m writing this casually based on my knowledge.)

• I’m interested in the part about “Improving the Mechanism Rather Than Hitting Water.”

• What does it mean for a situation to have no bugs?

  • It means that Human bugs are covered.
  • It means that the majority’s wishes are being fulfilled.
    • Maybe when evaluating politics, there are “ideals (objectives)” and “competence (ability to achieve objectives),” but I think only the latter is the focal point.
  • It’s difficult to draw a line between “objectives,” “bugs,” and “system.”
    • Because a specific political system may be the objective, or the reason for having objectives may be a bug.

  • It’s like populist politics or something.
  • It’s about having the wrong parameters in elections.

  • These explanations make sense, but they don’t explain the current political situation.
    • If these bugs are significant, there should be a situation like “someone skilled at talking evades the issue of the coronavirus in press conferences, and the public doesn’t notice.”
      • Hasn’t it become like that? I wonder.

  • The media (referred to as the fourth estate) is not integrated into the system.
  • This explanation seems to fit the current situation.
