• Is there any meaning in generalizing Things I’m Interested In to Generalization?

    • When thinking about my interests, I often want to generalize them.
      • But I wonder if there is any meaning in doing so.
      • Generalizing in terms of meaning and generalizing in terms of time direction may be different.#direction of generalization
    • Also, I feel like there is a recursive logic at the core that says “I like it because I like it.”
      • Even if we forcefully generalize such a thing, it might not have any meaning.
  • There are various remnants of attempts in Things I’m Interested In.

  • From the perspective of a third party, this seems to be a somewhat incomprehensible thought process.

    • What I’m doing is:
      • ① Thinking about whether I am interested in various subjects.
      • ② Trying to come up with a model that can explain them in a general way.
      • It feels like refining the model through repetition.
    • However, ① is obvious to me, so I often omit it in the process of writing and contemplating.
      • I rely on my memory in my head.
      • But it’s not obvious to others.
